So this is a tribute to the wonderful people of The Netherlands. I found these facts on the Internet, so they have to be true.

1. The Dutch are the tallest people in Europe.

2. Almost every Dutch person has a bicycle and there are twice as many bikes as cars.

3. There are 1180 windmills in the Netherlands.

4. There are at least 300 castles in the country are open to the public.

5. Holland has the highest museum density in the world, with almost 1000 museums.

6. The Netherlands have the lowest level of lactose intolerant people, one percent.

7. Netherlands means “low country” in Dutch, and a quarter of the Netherlands is below sea level.

8. New York City started as a Dutch colony called New Amsterdam.

9. The Dutch were the first Europeans to discover Australia and New Zealand (Tasmania was named after Dutch explorer Abel Tasman (1603-1659).

10. The Netherlands are the world’s first producer and exporter of tulips.

11. The microscope, telescope, pendulum clock, and the mercury thermometer are all 16th and 17th century Dutch inventions.

Thank you to Nynke (she is from the Netherlands and is why I posted this) for being the first person to buy some of my cards and to help me kick off our project raising money for disabled orphans in China.

Enjoy this day,
Matt

0 comments?! This is unfathomable. Must be a glitch. All those facts were incredible! I'm sure our good friend Nynk (Nynke) was overwhelmed with joy to see the hard work put in by Brother P. to put together this wonderful piece about the GREATEST country in the world. God bless the potatoe chip with the Dutch windmill on the bag.
